The Awards Night for the Dogwood Playwrights Initiative held in Miles on the 9th of October was a great success.  Hugh O'Brien and Hellie Turner were both able to receive their awards in person.  Justin Coleman was unable to attend but was there in spirit. 

Judges Justice Ian Callinan, Ron Kelly and Ann Gibbons were also at the dinner.  Co-judge Michael Gow was unable to attend as he was away at an opening of his own.  Queensland Minister for Primary Industries and Fisheries, Hon. Henry Palaszczuk, and Mayor of Murilla Shire, Councillor Roderick Gilmour OAM, were also in attendance.

Thank you to all the playwrights who entered.  Without your entries there would never have been a Dogwood Playwrights Initiatve.
